Embark on a Magical Journey with "Scent Work for Fun" Classes 

Step into a world where magic meets fun in our enchanting "Scentwork for Fun" classes. 

Designed for complete beginners, these classes open a gateway to an extraordinary adventure for you and your canine companion.  

These classes run for 4 weeks where we will teach your dog how to recognise and search for a specific scent.   

The first 3 weeks we will teach you how to train your dog to recognise the scent, indicate that they have found the scent, guide you on how to support them during searches and help you understand your dog's body language so you know when they are on a scent. We then have a break of 1 week break for you to further practice your skills before coming together for a final fun class where give your dogs a number of search challenges both inside and out (weather permitting).

These classes help you to meet your dog's natural searching and foraging needs, if you have a dog that:

- is full of energy all the time 
- is always getting into mischief, destroying items or raiding bins
- struggles to relax and settle
- is anxious or lacks confidence
- is often bored 
- or you struggle to find ways to keep them entertained
This is the activity for you.  

Scent work, engages your dogs brain, gives them a job to do and puts to work their most prominent of senses.  Our dogs navigate the world with their noses and by giving them this outlet, you will be giving them a fantastic calming activity that builds skills that you can use in any situation whether that is on your walks, engaging with your dog in your garden, keeping them busy when guests arrive, helping them manage new locations or building confidence, in fact there are so many benefits to this activity you will wonder why you haven't tried this before.  

Each week, you and your dog will discover new abilities, transforming ordinary sniffing into an art of discovery and wonder. Watch in amazement as your dog evolves into a wizard of scents, with every class progressing you and your dog for more challenging quests.

Scent Work is not just a playful escapade - it's a journey with so may benefits: Mental Enchantment: Scent work challenges your dog’s mind, keeping their intellect sharp and spirits high.

Ideal for all, Great and Small: Scent work has no discrimination and is suitable for all dogs and ages.

Nose work triggers the release of dopamine, the 'feel-good' neurotransmitter, in a dog's brain. This natural reward system is stimulated when dogs successfully find and identify scents, leading to feelings of pleasure and accomplishment. 

This dopamine release not only enhances the dog's mood but also reinforces positive behaviour, making the training both enjoyable and rewarding. 

Similarly, watching your dog succeed and have fun releases dopamine in you too, contributing to a sense of happiness and satisfaction. Our Magical Classes: 
Duration: Blocks of 4 weeks of 1 Hour Sessions (30 minutes for 1:1 sessions)
Group Size: Small groups for personalised attention and a supportive atmosphere. 

PLEASE NOTE: These classes are not for dogs that have shown any aggressive behaviours towards other dogs or people!

Welcome to Dogwarts K9 Academy where I help stressed out dog parents overcome their dog training struggles and fall back in love with their dog again with pressure free, fun training techniques that get real life results.

Helping all dogs but specialising in Reactivity & Anxiety cases.  

When you work with me you get the training your dog would choose if they were given the chance to pick a trainer. Why? Because my training helps you to understand your dog, to speak their language to help you understand the real meaning behind their behaviour which creates an unbelievable relationship of trust that enables you to get wonderful results.

I do not use and will not recommend any aversive training methods so you can be assured that the training you receive is judgement free, pressure free and fear free. I will never use intimidation to get results but instead use fun techniques that your dog can relate to, learns with, and puts the joy back into your training time together. When you work with your dog this way, your results really do become unstoppable.

I help you to break it all down, help you understand your dog’s go to response, pick up on the triggers (these may not be what you think they are) then we work together to bring hope back into your lives.

From dogs that have escaped war-torn countries to dogs that need help to learn that not everything in the environment is something to worry about, I have helped dogs with lead reactivity, dog/people reactivity, noise reactivity and separation related reactivity, I have helped them to reshape and rebuild their emotions so they can live their lives with less anxious reactivity and experience more adventures with joy.
