Hello I'm Tracy, the founder of Dogwarts K9 Academy, a highly qualified and passionate Certified Dog Trainer.

I hold certifications in various specialised areas such as Puppy Training, Reactivity & Anxiety, Scentwork, Canine Body Language, and Children & Dogs, I am also a Reactive Rascal Certified Instructor with the Dog Training College.

I am dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and their owners. My journey into dog training began with my own German Shepherd, who unfortunately became reactive due to a very negative experience with a previous trainer. The memory of this traumatic event later inspired me to retrain in dog training to help my own dog, Dexter, who I had rescued and discovered had his own reactivity issues.

This experience led me to transition from a 30-year corporate career in Exec level Human Resources & Facilities Management to establishing my own dog training business.

My training philosophy is rooted in empathy and understanding, acknowledging that dogs, like humans, have emotions that influence their behaviour.

I firmly believe in modern, force-free, and positive training methods that focus on reshaping a dog's emotions and associations through fun techniques.

By working closely with dog owners who are dedicated to making a difference in their dog's life, I have consistently achieved transformative results that are truly magical.

Through continuous learning, dedication to the latest scientific knowledge, and a commitment to leaving behind outdated training methods, I am on a mission to help dogs and their humans build trusting and harmonious relationships based on mutual understanding and positive reinforcement that result in lasting behaviour transformation.

Dexter, our Golden Retriever, is often misunderstood due to his quirky personality and unique habits but his lovable personality really does set him apart from the rest. On the other hand, Coco, our sassy Cockapoo, is known for her confident and independent spirit. She struts around with a twinkle in her eye, always ready to charm anyone who crosses her path. Coco's playful and mischievous nature often keeps us on our toes, but we wouldn't have it any other way. While Dexter may be misunderstood and Coco may be sassy, both dogs bring joy and excitement to our lives in their own special ways. Each with their distinct personalities, Dexter and Coco prove that every dog is truly one of a kind.
